«Two political groups around Sooronbai Jeenbekov are engaged in the division of the power now,» the former Prosecutor General Azimbek Beknazarov told at a press conference in 24.kg news agency. However, he did not specify who exactly was behind these groups.
According to him, the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov should bring to an end the investigation of resonant criminal cases. Azimbek Beknazarov noted that the head of state was expected to respond to other high-profile criminal cases and events.
Azimbek Beknazarov told that he appealed to Sooronbai Jeenbekov with a request to complete the investigation of the cases on the objects nationalized after April 7, 2010, Kumtor, tragedy in Dachi-Su village.
«We thought that we would finally find out who released the crime boss Aziz Batukayev. I even sent him (Sooronbai Jeenbekov — note of 24.kg news agency) a letter with proposals. But no, he decided to dismiss the case of Moldomusa Kongantiev,» said Azimbek Beknazarov.
He also believes that instead of the case of Moldomusy Kongantiev, the criminal cases of Omurbek Tekebayev and Kanatbek Isaev should be reviewed.
