MMA champion placed in Osh pretrial detention center

Champion of the mixed martial arts (MMA) Abdylda uulu Bekbolot, charged with beating up night club guards and rape of a girl, was put in jail for one month. The Osh Police Department informed 24.kg news agency.

By the decision of the Osh City Court, another defendant, a 24-year-old member of the organized crime group, was placed in a pretrial detention center for two months.

On June 25, policemen detained Abdylda uulu Bekbolot, MMA champion, and 24-year-old member of the organized crime group, a native of Kara-Suu district, in Osh city. They beat up the night club guards. One of the victims had a broken jaw, the second received minor injuries. Later on, video recording of the incident appeared on the Internet. Despite this, the Osh City Court released both under house arrest. A few days later, a girl appealed to the police, accusing the athlete and the member of the organized crime group of rape.
