Contractor for implementation of Safe City project will be selected based on the results of an online auction. The Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technology and Communications Kubanychbek Shatemirov told at a public discussion of Safe City component, part of Smart City project.
According to him, a tender for the project will be announced on the state procurement website. The interdepartmental commission developed a feasibility study for the project.
According to preliminary estimates, implementation of Safe City will require $ 12 million.
«This is the costs for installation of the recording cameras, public surveillance cameras, road markings, road signs,» Kubanychbek Shatemirov said.
The first stage of Safe City will be implemented until the end of 2019.
«According to our forecasts, the share of collected fines will increase from 18 to 32 percent. Violations in populated areas will decrease from 2 to 7 percent,» he explained.
