Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC conducted preliminary public consultations on extending the life of Makmalzoloto mine and attracting of investors. The press service of the company informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the consultations took place in 13 villages of five rural areas of Jalal-Abad region within a week.
«The main task is to extend the life of Makmalzoloto combine and to attract investors by an open competitive selection. We will successfully implement the project if we discuss it together,» Almaz Alimbekov, Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzaltyn, said.
The tender for investor selection is planned to be held until the end of 2018.
In the near future, repeated public consultations are planned in Toguz-Toro district with participation of representatives of state bodies, experts, ecologists, local population and potential investors.
The commission for attracting investors to Makmal will include not only employees of Kyrgyzaltyn and state agencies, but also representatives of five rural areas of Toguz-Toro district.
