The deputies of the Parliament supported the resignation of the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan Kubat Otorbaev. The decision was made the day before at a meeting of the Parliament.
It became known that Kubat Otorbaev applied for resignation. However, according to Iskhak Masaliev, his resignation was not voluntary.
«Our committee considered his report and decided to remove the ombudsman from office. Therefore, this was not a voluntary decision, but he simply decided to leave his post in advance,» the deputy noted.
Kubat Otorbaev had worked as the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2.5 years.
