There is no outbreak of anthrax in Kyrgyzstan. The Director of the State Inspection on Veterinary and Phytosanitary Security Kalysbek Zhumakanov said at the session of the Parliament today.
According to him, the suspected anthrax in Bazar-Korgon is an isolated case.
«Since the Soviet Union times, more than 1,000 foci of anthrax have been registered in Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, there will always be a threat. But except for the case in Bazar-Korgon, no other cases of the disease were registered,» said the official.
Recall, nine people were hospitalized with suspected anthrax in Bazar-Korgon district.
