Kyrgyzstan will actively participate in the international projects within the Great Silk Road. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov said today at a session of the Parliament.
The President dwelled on the need to build roads and railways, improve power transmission lines and communications to increase the investment attractiveness.
«We need to get out of the infrastructure impasse and become a transit country, beginning on China and reaching the seaports of Eurasia. Therefore, we will actively participate in the international projects within the Great Silk Road,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The priority projects are the following: China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the alternative road North-South, the ring road around Issyk-Kul, Suusamyr-Talas-Taraz highway, Jalal-Abad-Madaniyat highway and the renewal of domestic flights.
«As for the long-term projects, I attach special importance to the plans for the construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway,» the head of state noted.
