Kazakhstani blogger and opposition civil activist Murat Tungishbaev disappeared from pretrial detention center 1 in Bishkek. The activist Adil Turdukulov told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the day before, without notification of his lawyer Nurbek Toktakunov, Murat Tungishbaev was taken from pretrial detention center 1 and driven in an unknown direction.
«As we were informed, he was transported not by the employees of the State Penitentiary Service, but the representatives of the State Committee for National Security. It is unclear where he was taken — to SCNS pretrial detention center or was already extradited to Kazakhstan,» said Adil Turdukulov.
Earlier, Murat Tungishbaev petitioned to transfer him from the detention center to the penal colony 47. He complained of pain in his eyes but his petition was not granted.
The Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek decided on June 25 to extradite Murat Tungishbaev to Kazakhstan at the request of the neighboring country.
