At least 23 families need resettlement in Min-Kush village

At least 23 families in Min-Kush village, Dzhumgal district, are to be resettled from a landslide-prone zone near the uranium tailings dump. Local residents told during a meeting with Zhyrgalbek Turuskulov, the leader of the parliamentary faction Respublika — Ata Jurt.

According to them, the government allocates 200,000 soms, but the money will not be enough to buy or to build an equivalent housing. The villagers asked to increase compensation to one million soms.

The deputy met on this issue with the Prime Minister of the country Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev and the First Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov. They agreed in the near future to visit the village and meet with its residents. The question of compensation will be decided there.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, more than 4,000 families live in dangerous zones in Kyrgyzstan.
