The Kazakhstani blogger and opposition activist Murat Tungishbaev will be extradited. The judge of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek Chyngiz Adamkulov the day before announced the decision on the complaint of lawyers representing Murat Tungishbayev’s interests against the decision of the Kyrgyz Prosecutor General’s Office to extradite him to Kazakhstan.
Lawyer Nurbek Toktakunov called the verdict illegal. Murat Tungishbaev will be handed over to the authorities of Kazakhstan after the court decision will come into force.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan left the citizen of Kazakhstan detained in Bishkek in custody.
Officers of the State Committee for National Security detained Murat Tungishbaev on May 10 on suspicion of belonging to the movement «Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan,» banned in Kazakhstan. The special services searched the apartment of the Kazakh citizen on the basis of the decision of the Almaty court.
