Kyrgyzstan is looking for money for 3 more phytosanitary laboratories. The Ministry of Agriculture informed 24.kg news agency.
According to the director of the Plant Quarantine Department, Aman Isaev, these facilities in Naryn, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions had to be built at the expense of the funds, allocated by Kazakhstan within the framework of technical assistance (about $ 100 million), but due to denunciation of the agreement, the funds were not received.
«Now we are looking for money in the budget. Russian $ 1.2 million were spent on repairs of the phytosanitary laboratory in Bishkek. There is one site on the territory of Osh laboratory; we also equip it. So, all the money was used,» said Aman Isaev.
He noted that all laboratories had been accredited and were ready to issue certificates according to the standards of the Eurasian Economic Union.
