The Ulema Council of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan voiced preliminary date of celebration of Kurman Ait — August 21. The press service of the SDMK reported.

The date is still inaccurate. It can move for a day — depending on the moon.

Kurman Ait is a holiday of sacrifice and is marked in 70 days after Orozo Ait holiday, which was celebrated in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on June 14.

Note, Kurman Ait traditionally falls on the completion of the pilgrimage. This year, Saudi Arabia has allocated 5,400 quotas to Kyrgyzstan that is 640 more than in 2017. The first group of pilgrims will leave for Mecca in July.
