New Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan appointed

A new Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Mirlan Kanimetov, was introduced to the staff of the ministry today.

He was appointed instead of Daniyar Abdykarov. Earlier it was reported that the Deputy Interior Minister Daniyar Abdykarov left for Turkey. The message about this appeared on social networks. Users suggested that the General «Abdykarov felt his forthcoming dismissal,» and considered his speedy departure as an escape.

According to the internal instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he had no right to travel abroad without a permission of the authorities. The Ministry of Internal Affairs previously commented to 24.kg news agency on the absence of the deputy minister. Officially, he was on vacation.

«Officially, Daniyar Abdykarov is on vacation. It is his right. There was information that he left for Turkey. Going abroad, he had to write a report and notify the management of the department. However, he did not submit a report and did not receive consent. An official investigation was launched on the fact,» the ministry noted.

Daniyar Abdykarov was in charge of personnel issues.

Mirlan Kanimetov was the head of the Main Directorate for Organized Crime Control.
