Deputy Aida Kasymalieva raised the gender balance issue at a parliament meeting.
According to her, women do not take state posts at all; there is none of them among the heads of districts.
The Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev noted that women should deal with social problems. «They understand such problems better. Deputy Head should be a woman,» he explained.
He added that the Labor Code has 5% quota for people with disabilities. However, none of the district administrations employs people with disabilities. «We must hire such employees and demand the execution of the law,» said Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.
