Several Bishkek streets to be closed for traffic due to Orozo Ait celebration

A temporary traffic restriction will be introduced in the morning of June 15 in the capital near the Old Square in connection with the celebration of Orozo Ait. The press service of the Bishkek City Administration reported.

The following streets will be closed:

— Chui Avenue — from Tynystanov Street to Togolok Moldo;

— Abdymomunov Street — from Abdrakhmanov to Logvinenko;

— Frunze Street — from Abdrakhmanov to Togolok Moldo;

— Tynystanov Street — from Frunze to Chui Avenue;

— Erkindik Boulevard — from Frunze to Abdymomunov;

— Logvinenko Street — from Chui Avenue to Kievskaya Street.

According to the Bishkek City Police Department, in connection with the upcoming celebration of Orozo Ait, the capital’s police are switching to heavy security regime of service. More than 2,000 police officers will be involved.

In connection with the increased security measures, it will be possible to pass to the Old Square only through metal detectors. It is forbidden to carry large and voluminous objects, piercing-cutting, combustible and explosive materials, weapons of any type, fireworks to the place of ait namaz.

All prohibited items will be confiscated at the inspection points.
