Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will hold another round of negotiations on delimitation and demarcation of the border. The leaders of the two countries agreed on this.
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov today met with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of the summit of the heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The two heads of state stressed the importance and significance of their meeting on the sidelines of SCO summit, which gives an additional opportunity to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation and topical issues on the international agenda.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Emomali Rahmon expressed their mutual desire to speed up the process of delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The next round of talks at the level of vice prime ministers of the two countries will take place after June 20 in Dushanbe.
