Kyrgyzstan plans to develop tourism industry

An interactive map and an electronic information center for tourists will be created in Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the government reported.

The agreement was reached at a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister, Altynai Omurbekova, with representatives of the expert community in tourism sphere Daniyar Kazakov, Gulmira Karymshakova and Evgeniy Tyan.

A number of ministries and departments received a number of instructions on tourism development.

The Tourism Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism should develop a mechanism for issuing permits to foreign citizens for conducting tour operator work on the basis of certificates, develop standards for the provision of services in guest houses and create an interactive map of the Kyrgyz Republic and an electronic information center for tourists.

In addition, the agency, with the support of the government’s authorized representative offices, was instructed to appoint one employee in each rural area in charge of the tourism and create 10 pilot information centers in the community centers and libraries, involving representatives of the national crafts.

The Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Agency for Primary and Secondary Vocational Education, was instructed to introduce educational modules on tourism in the state standard.
