Council for Digital Transformation created in Kyrgyzstan

An Expert Council on Digital Transformation was created under the President of Kyrgyzstan. Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed a relevant decree.

The Expert Council will conduct an examination of the legislative and regulatory legal framework in the field of information and communication technologies and develop recommendations for its improvement, including issues of international integration processes and ensuring cybersecurity.

Control over the execution of the decree was entrusted to the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Dosaly Esenaliev. The Council is headed by the Adviser of the President on a voluntary basis, Dastan Dogoev. Previously, he headed the State Registration Service.

In addition, the Council includes an expert from the Information Policy Department Adilet Adenisov, Advisor to the First Vice Prime Minister Eduard Turdaliev, Director of the State Enterprise Infocom Talant Abdullaev, Open Data Action Plan Project Manager Elina Sakkaraeva, Head of the Information Security Programs Department at the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank Kubanychbek Zakenaev, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Association of Software and Services Developers Aziz Abakirov, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University Manas Rita Ismailova, and an independent expert Kazybai Temir.
