Two Kyrgyzstanis recruit terrorists in Krasnoyarsk (Russia)

Agents of the Federal Security Service of Russia detected a terrorist cell in Krasnoyarsk that supplied militants to Syria and Afghanistan. Russian media reported.

According to the press service of the Federal Security Service Directorate for Krasnoyarsk Krai, two cell leaders arrived in the city from Kyrgyzstan.

One of them by phone established contact with members of an international terrorist organization and began recruiting supporters.

Propaganda of terrorism was conducted with the help of videos in places of public catering and residence of compatriots. They helped the recruits to leave for the territories under the control of terrorists. They were sent to Syria and Afghanistan from there.

Employees of the Federal Security Service detained 11 members of the terrorist group. Prohibited religious literature was found during the searches.

«The Investigation Department of the Federal Security Service Directorate of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Krai initiated criminal proceedings against two organizers under the articles «Preparation for participation in the activities of a terrorist organization» and «Assistance to terrorist activities» of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,» the FSS press service told.
