Ex-Minister of Economy, Arzybek Kozhoshev, was summoned for interrogation to the State Committee for National Security within the investigation into the criminal case on the modernization of Bishkek Heating and Power Plant. He himself told journalists.
According to him, the reason was a letter from the Ministry of Finance, which appeared in the case. Arzybek Kozhoshev, as deputy head of the Ministry of Finance, signed a letter in which the ministry criticized the agreement with the Chinese company TBEA. Arzybek Kozhoshev stressed that the SCNS asked only to confirm the authenticity of the letter.
Ex-Deputy Minister of Finance noted that it was a technical letter. The Finance Ministry asked for clarification on the terms of the loan.
The Prosecutor General’s Office opened four criminal cases, two — on the breakdown at the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant and two — on its modernization. There is also the fifth case, related to the construction of a school using the funds of TBEA company. They are being investigated by the SCNS.
