A delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by its Deputy Chairman, Ilkhom Norkulov, arrived in Kyrgyzstan. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The purpose of the visit is the exchange of experience. The visit is the result of the agreements reached during the bilateral meeting of the chairmen of national banks Tolkunbek Abdygulov and Mamarizo Nurmuratov.
During the visit, the parties will discuss issues of monetary policy, financial statistics, cash circulation, protection of consumers of financial services. The parties will exchange views on increasing the financial literacy of the population and regulation of the activities of the credit bureau.
In September 2017, the National Bank of Uzbekistan devalued the rate of the national currency almost two times. Sum exchange rate has become market one now. This happened for the first time since independence of the republic.
