Football player from Kyrgyzstan, Veniamin Shumeiko, will continue his career in the Malaysian Premier League club, UiTM FC. Trebol Sports International reported.
After a commendable season in the I-League (India), the former Chennai City FC defensive lynchpin moved to the highly competitive Malaysia League.
"The level of football here is very good for my personal development. After playing in the I-League, this is the next level which I am targeting at,” Veniamin Shumeiko commented.
The All Indian Football Federation named the 29-year-old football player as one of “I-League’s Defensive Giants.”
"I like the football played here in Malaysia. It is faster and more technical as compared to Indian football which is more about power and guile. I am looking forward to a great finish at the end of the season with my new found teammates," Shumeiko told.
