The rating is drawn up in order to promote equality and equal conditions throughout the world. The list of Apolitical is compiled on the basis of numerous proposals from dozens of experts, international organizations, academic circles, governments around the world.
Roza Otunbayeva was the only politician in this list from the Eurasian continent.
The 2018 list also includes the President of France Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, Executive Director of UN Women Program Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka and the Foreign Affairs Minister of Sweden Margot Wallstrom.
