PM demands speeding up repairs of Historical Museum

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan held a meeting on the completion of the reconstruction of the National Historical Museum.

The head of the government was informed about the progress of construction works, provision with exhibits, as well as the concept of expositions and the business plan of the museum.

Museum director, Keneshbek Almakuchukov, said that the reconstruction was almost completed, preparations for the launch of media stations and interactive tables with detailed information in several languages were being made.

Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev instructed to speed up the work to complete the reconstruction of the museum and ensure rational spending of the budget funds.

«Despite all the efforts, the reconstruction of the historical museum took a very long time. Delays are unacceptable in this issue. Check by law enforcement agencies of the facts of financial irregularities during the repair of the museum should not affect the timing of its opening. Now, when the reconstruction is under way, it is necessary to work out the issue of including the museum in the list of strategic facilities. This will save the museum fund,» Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev stressed.
