I am convinced that the best tribute to the fallen and those who are with us today will further strengthen the friendship of the peoples of our countries, tested and tempered in the harsh war years,» the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev noted.
He conveyed the words of gratitude to war veterans for their contribution to the victory, and wished the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov health and prosperity.
«Our fraternal peoples shoulder to shoulder withstood the toughest trials and made an invaluable contribution to the hastening the Victory Day. Their great feat is a vivid example of valor, patriotism and selfless service to their homeland for us. Today, we bow our heads to the blessed memory of those who, with their own lives, defended peace and freedom. We are deeply grateful and honor our veterans, who showed courage and heroism on the battlefields and in the homefront. A good memory of their glorious exploit will remain forever in our hearts,» the telegram of the head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev says.
In addition, he is convinced of the further strengthening of relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the interests of the two peoples.
The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon conveyed the wish of longevity, good health and high spirits to all veterans of the war and to the homefront workers.
«Our peoples shoulder to shoulder withstood all the hardships of this unprecedented, deadly and devastating war, displaying courage and heroism, at the cost of tens of millions of lives, they defended their freedom and independence in the fight against the insidious and cruel enemy of mankind — fascism. I express confidence that the relations of friendship and brotherhood between our peoples, which have withstood severe tests for strength, will continue to grow and develop,» he said in a telegram.
The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished Soopanbai Jeenbekov and veterans of the Great Patriotic War good health, happiness and prosperity, and to the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan — peace, further progress and prosperity.
