The deputies gave a political assessment to former high-ranking officials, who signed an agreement with the Chinese company TBEA on the modernization of Bishkek Heating and Power Plant. All materials on them will be sent to the State Committee for National Security and the Prosecutor General’s Office for a check. Aida Kasymalieva, one of the members of the deputy commission, told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, tomorrow all representatives of the commission will sign the final draft of the conclusion. «We can not give a legal assessment or blame anyone — we are not law enforcement agencies, but we pointed to the responsibility of the government of Zhantoro Satybaldiev and himself. We believe that the ex-ministers of finance Olga Lavrova and the economy Temir Sariev should also bear responsibility for it. In conclusion, we mentioned the Foreign Affairs Minister Erlan Abdyldaev — everyone who signed the agreement,» told Aida Kasymalieva.
Another member of the commission, Iskhak Masaliev, a deputy from Onuguu-Progress faction, said that all the prime ministers, starting with Almazbek Atambayev, should bear political responsibility for the incident.
While the deputy commission was working, the SCNS began to investigate the criminal case on corruption in the implementation of the project «Modernization of Bishkek HPP.» Seven former top managers of the energy industry were arrested. They all were officially charged with corruption.
