Kyrgyzstan increases one-time payment to Great Patriotic War veterans

The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov has increased the amount of the annual one-time payment to veterans of the Great Patriotic War by May 9. The presidential press service reported.

More than 7 million soms have been allocated from the presidential fund for these purposes.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, as of today, there are 475 veterans of the Great Patriotic War left in the republic, including 128 disabled, 299 participants, 23 underage prisoners of concentration camps and 25 survivors of the siege of Leningrad.

Their social support consists of a monthly lifelong allowance of 10,000 soms, as well as monthly cash compensation in return for benefits.

In addition, the annual one-time payment is also paid by May 9 to:

— The disabled, participants of the Great Patriotic War, minor prisoners of concentration camps, survivors of Leningrad siege in the amount of 15,000 soms;

— Widows of the deceased soldiers, homefront workers and the labor army members — 10,000 soms.

In addition to these funds, a one-time payment is provided from the Presidential Fund by the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the amount of 15,000 soms.

Thus, in May 2018, the total amount of social payments to each disabled veteran will amount to 47,600 soms; participants of the Great Patriotic War, minor prisoners of concentration camps, survivors of Leningrad siege — 47,400 soms; widows of the deceased in the war soldiers — 11,200 soms; homefront workers with disability and labor army members — 12,100 soms; homefront workers without disability — 11,100 soms.
