The men’s national 3 × 3 streetball team of Kyrgyzstan could not take part in the Asian Cup. The Basketball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The tournament took place from April 27 to May 1 in Shenzhen city (China).
«Our athletes were denied a Chinese visa,» the federation noted.
«This is not the first time when our streetball players miss major international competitions. Last year, our junior team could not go to the World Cup,» the federation added. «Our athletes were deprived of the opportunity to demonstrate their talents. Three-month preparation for this tournament was in vain,» representatives of the federation said.
