A delegation from Uzbekistan arrived in Osh city to strengthen cultural ties between the republics.
As the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Komoliddin Ishonkhodzhaev, told, the visit is part of the implementation of bilateral agreements between the Presidents of the two countries on strengthening the fraternal relations.
Osh writer Salima Sharipova reminded that earlier, in Ankara, it was decided to widely celebrate the 90th anniversary of the national writer Chingiz Aitmatov in the Turkic countries.
The guests will visit cultural sites and take part in a round table discussion.
The Mayor of Osh Aytmamat Kadyrbayev noted the important role of cultural figures in strengthening interstate relations. The meeting in the mayor’s office ended with exchange of souvenirs.
