The route of the Immortal Regiment march in Bishkek has not changed. Press service of the Bishkek City Council reported.
A meeting on the organization of the march took place the day before. The participants of the campaign will march from the park named after Dair Asanov along Absamat Masaliyev Street to Baitik Baatyr Street and then to the Victory Square. The length of the route is 6.6 kilometers.
Immortal Regiment march in Bishkek will begin on May 9 at 10.00 am.
The streets will be closed for traffic for safety of the march participants. The brass band and the cadets of the National Military Lyceum named after Dair Asanov will head the column. Bio toilets will be installed and sale of soft drinks will be organized along the march route. About 1,000 policemen will keep the order, the ambulance will escort the column.
The Immortal Regiment march will be held in Bishkek for the 5th time. In 2017, about 30,000 people took part in the march. Its goal is to perpetuate the feat of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, to preserve the memory of the heroism of the people and the continuity of generations.
