Dried fruits from Kyrgyzstan not allowed to enter Russia

Inspectors of Rosselkhoznadzor Department for Novosibirsk region stopped attempts to smuggle 116 tons of high phytosanitary risk products from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of the department, 93.5 tons of Kazakh quarantine products and 22.2 tons of dried fruits from the Kyrgyz Republic were detained at the phytosanitary control post Karasuk.

The high phytosanitary risk products were transported by road from the territory of these republics for sale in the markets of Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk.

Dried fruits were transported with invalid phytosanitary certificate.

All the goods were returned to the senders.
