Priorities of new Cabinet - regions, agriculture, energy sector reform

Priority in the work of the new government will be the regional development, agriculture, reform of the energy sector system, social development and the introduction of advanced digital technologies in the work of state bodies of the country. The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev said this at a meeting with the government members.

According to him, the program «Trust, Unity, Creation» should cover all the pressing problems of the society. In addition, it should be integrated with the Sustainable Development Strategy of Kyrgyzstan until 2040. In addition, to eradicate corruption and create conditions for the development of individual industries, great attention should be paid to the introduction of modern digital solutions. It is the operation of Tunduk system and the implementation of Smart City project.

The Prime Minister noted the special importance of bringing the domestic economy «out of the shadow.» This requires structural changes in the tax and customs sectors.

At the same time, the head of government stressed the need to provide adequate protection of investments attracted to the country and create maximum favorable conditions for foreign investors. Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev noted the importance of increasing the population’s confidence in the domestic energy system, the importance of forming an export-oriented economy by supporting domestic farmers and peasants and ensuring the proper quality and volume of agricultural products.

«Our domestic agricultural products should be widely represented in the markets of foreign countries. The main task of the government in this matter is to create appropriate conditions for the agrarians and provide them with all kinds of assistance,» concluded Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.
