A criminal case was initiated against the Major General Nuridin Chomoev. Own sources in law enforcement agencies informed 24.kg news agency.

Now the question of initiating a criminal case against Major General Rysbek Mirzamatov is being considered. In addition, a criminal case was opened against the commander of the telephone communication platoon of the military unit 2023 of the State Border Service Abdumalik Botoyarov,» the sources said.
In December 2017, it was found out that 160 people in Kyrgyzstan illegally ranked themselves as veterans of military operations, including in Afghanistan, and received benefits. An interdepartmental commission established that there were those among them, who did not participate in military operations at all.
The lists also include former high-ranking military servicemen — former deputy chairman of the State Border Service, Major General, Rysbek Mirzamatov, as well as the former chief of the General Staff of the Defense Ministry, Major General, Nuridin Chomoev.
