More than 188,000 saplings have been allocated by forestry for landscaping of city territories, rural areas and social facilities within the framework of the republican three-month campaign Taza Zhashoo. The State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry reported.
More than 30,000 trees were planted in the mudflow-prone areas within the framework of Zhashyl Dolboor project of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
«Saplings were planted in the territories of the state forest fund with a total area of 778 hectares,» the agency added.
In the spring of 2018, the forestry enterprises of the republic have grown more than 2 million saplings of about 50 species of trees.
