Residents of Toguz-Toro hold rally at White House in Bishkek

Residents of Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad region hold rally at the White House in Bishkek. More than 50 people gathered at the parliament building.

Participants of the protest demand to close the gold processing plant and release the suspects of the arson at the Chinese enterprise GL Makmal Developing. The resident of the district Rakhatbek Sadraliev explained the demands of the protesters by the fact that the people had health problems because of the plant.

«We ask to close the gold processing plant because we have health problems, namely, hepatic cirrhosis, biliousness, high blood pressure. We had no such problems before. That’s why we hold the rally. We wrote letters to all agencies several times. However, no one listens to us,» Rakhatbek Sadraliev said.

Recall, on April 11, residents of Toguz-Toro district held a rally and set the objects under construction of the gold mining enterprise on fire.

The police opened a criminal case under articles «Hooliganism», «Deliberate destruction or damage to property by arson», «Mass disorders» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on riots in Toguz-Toro district.
