The tender for the purchase of a linear accelerator in Kyrgyzstan has been canceled. The state procurement portal reported.
In total, 376,225.5 soms were allocated for the purchase of a linear accelerator, a magnetic resonance tomograph, an anesthetic respiratory apparatus and a multifunctional medical bed.
The tender has been announced as far back as in January 2018 and has been extended several times. The tender documents were to be opened today. However, the competition was canceled a few days ago.
«It was a decision not of the fund, but the Supervisory Board over the fund. The tender was suspended until all circumstances are clarified. In the future, the competition will be announced again. In general, everything is ready for purchase,» Nurgul Adnayeva, Chairwoman of the Fund for Support of Oncology Service, explained to 24.kg news agency.
Earlier, the Parliament had a number of complaints about the work of the Fund for Support of the Oncology Service. The deputy of the parliament Akylbek Japarov said that the Accounting Chamber should check the legality of the establishment of the fund.
The money for the accelerator is allocated within the agreement with Centerra Gold Inc.
