The Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan declared the ban on holding of rallies on the territory of Leninsky district of Bishkek illegal. The civil activist Adil Turdukulov informed 24.kg news agency.

According to him, earlier the Internal Affairs Department for Leninsky district appealed to the court with a lawsuit to ban rallies in its territory from April 1 to April 15. The reason for the ban was the possible terrorist attacks threat. The court settled the claim.

«The head of the Green Party, Erkin Bulekbaev, appealed the decision in the Bishkek City Court. The second instance court upheld the decision of the Leninsky District Court. Cassation appeal was filed with the Supreme Court. The day before, the judicial bench settled its claim and overturned the decision of the first instance courts. Thus, the decision to ban holding of rallies was declared illegal,» said Adil Turdukulov.
