The protesters burned down the laboratory, warehouses and office building on the territory of the Chinese company GL Makmal Developing. The management of the enterprise informed 24.kg news agency.
According to them, the residents of Toguz-Toro district stay on the territory of the company, the employees were evacuated. «We are not aware of the demands of the protesters. They do not voice them. As for the conclusion of environmentalists, we sent the project for examination, but for some reason, there are still no results. There is even no data on the assessment of the impact of the gold processing enterprise on the environment. But it’s not our fault. We have sent it on time, and we have not even started to work,» the representatives of GL Makmal Developing noted.
Residents of the district several times held a rally, demanding to suspend the construction of a plant owned by GL Makmal Developing. The Vice Speaker of Parliament Mirlan Bakirov said commenting on the situation in Toguz-Toro district that it was premature to punish the organizers of the rally, it was necessary to understand the situation.
Three policemen were injured during the rally in Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad region.
