Kyrgyzstani Erlan Sherov won silver medal at the Junior European Judo Cup. Ippon.org reported.
The tournament was held in Lignano (Italy). Over 600 athletes from 36 countries, including four representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic, took part in the tournament.
Erlan Sherov performed in the weight category up to 81 kg. In the first round, he defeated Mikhailo Ciric (Serbia), then Neal De Lata (Belgium), Pavel Berlin (Russia) and Kenny Komi Bedel (Italy). In the final, the Kyrgyzstani lost to Lucas Wittwer (Switzerland).
