FETO tried to undermine relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan

FETO had tried to undermine the relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. The head of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday at a meeting with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.

According to him, supporters of FETO tried to arrange provocations. «Today’s visit is the best response to the actions of FETO. Turkey will continue the struggle until they answer in law to the people. Wherever they are, we will pull them out and hand them over for justice. Our task is to suppress the actions of such organizations. We spoke about this in a narrow and expanded format,» Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

He hopes that Kyrgyzstan will thoroughly deal with the fight against FETO. «We will help and support it in this matter,» the Turkish leader said.

Large-scale persecutions against graduates of Gülen educational institutions began after the attempted coup d’état in Turkey on the night of July 16, 2016. During the events, more than 240 people were killed, more than 2,000 people were injured. The revolt was suppressed. After it, more than 50,000 people were arrested, more than 140,000 civil servants were dismissed in Turkey.

The Turkish authorities accused FETO of involvement in the attempted coup d’état. Fethullah Gülen, who is in the United States, condemned the coup and rejected the accusations.
