Ex-PM Temir Sariev pays tribute to heroes of April People's Revolution

The Sokuluk District Administration paid tribute to the memory of the heroes of the April People’s Revolution.

Employees of the district administration, participants of the uprising and relatives of the deceased laid flowers and read a memorial prayer. The Former Prime Minister Temir Sariev attended the event.

Ex-Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan believes that the victims of April 2010 should not be in vain.

Note, 14 people from the Sokuluk district died in 2010.

Today Kyrgyzstan marks the 8th anniversary of the April events. Such events are held every year not to forget the feat of the heroes, who sacrificed their lives for the bright future of their people.

According to official data, 87 people were killed, 306 were recognized as victims. 28 ex-officials were accused in the April events case. All of them were sentenced to different terms of punishment.
