The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov will pay an official visit to Turkey on April 9-10. This was announced today at a press conference by the head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, Daniyar Sydykov.
In Ankara, he plans to meet with the head of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Prime Minister Binali Yildirim. The purpose of the visit is to establish a high political dialogue and expand trade and economic ties.
The parties plan to sign a number of documents related to investment, metrology, and sports.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov will leave Turkey and head for Brussels (Belgium) with a working visit. On April 11-12, he has meetings in the structures of the European Union. Kyrgyzstan prioritizes partnership with the European Union. The President of Kyrgyzstan intends to establish personal contacts with the leadership of the EU.
Currently, there are negotiations between Kyrgyzstan and representatives of the European Union on a new long-term cooperation agreement.
