Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund may rehabilitate idle enterprises

The Board of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund received a list of idle enterprises to study the possibility of their launch. The Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Artem Novikov, told journalists following the meeting of RKDF Council.

According to him, the issue was raised at the level of bilateral meetings, including with colleagues from the Ministry of Economics of Russia. There are about 240 enterprises in the list. It contains not only idle, but potential projects that can be implemented. They are at the level of start-up ideas. There are also projects of domestic entrepreneurs, which RKDF can note for funding in the future. As for idle enterprises, there are about 50 of them on the list.

«We hope that some of these enterprises will be financed in the near future and a policy for their further development will be worked out. Enterprises are idle due to the lack of working capital, modern equipment and claimed goods. Now we are working on these issues with the RKDF,» Artem Novikov stressed.

In addition, specialists of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund in the regions of Kyrgyzstan selected about 80 projects. Now they are at the elaboration stage in the departments of RKDF. The possibility of attracting microfinance organizations for lending of projects in the regions at the expense of RKDF funds is discussed.
