The General Director of Electric Stations JSC Uzak Kydyrbaev was detained.
A criminal case was initiated against some employees of the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant, Electric Stations JSC, National Energy Holding Company on the basis of the crime under the Article 221 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This criminal case was severed into separate proceedings from a criminal case, which was initiated by the Prosecutor General’s Office on January 30, 2018 after the breakdown at the Bishkek HPP.
The head of Electric Stations JSC Uzak Kydyrbaev was summoned for interrogation, after which the investigators decided to detain him. He was placed in the pretrial detention center of the State Committee for National Security.
The investigation is under way.
