Darak Yry (Song of a Tree) film, directed by Aibek Daiyrbekov, was included in the out-of-competition program of the Moscow International Film Festival, which will be held in Moscow on April 19-26.
Darak Yry is a joint product of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia. The script is based on Kyrgyz legends. The national premiere of the historical-dramatic musical film took place in Bishkek on March 1.
The Moscow International Film Festival is one of the oldest in the world. It was first held in 1935, the chairman of the judges was Sergei Eisenstein. The Russian director and actor Nikita Mikhalkov has been the President of the Moscow International Film Festival for many years.
