The Prime Minister Sapar Isakov will take part in the first meeting of the Council of Heads of Border Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on March 29 in Fergana. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Abdulla Aripov will head the Uzbek delegation.
The Council was created in accordance with the memorandum of understanding between the governments of the two countries, signed in Bishkek during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It is planned to discuss issues of development of trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the regions of the two countries.
The Kyrgyz delegation also includes heads of ministries and departments, plenipotentiary representatives of the government in Batken, Jalal-Abad and Osh regions, heads of territorial administrations of border regions.
