There are Kyrgyzstanis among the dead and injured in a fire in Kemerovo (Russia). This is preliminary information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Emergency Situations Department of Russia for Kemerovo, 44 people were injured, including 37 killed in the fire. However, the Russian media inform about 51 dead. Other 64 people are reported as missing, including children.
A criminal case has been opened, appropriate operational and investigative measures have been carried out, and the dead are being identified.
The fire occurred in the shopping center Winter Cherry on March 25. The fire covered 1,500 square meters. A few hours later, the roof collapsed on an area of 1,200 square meters along with bridging between the third and fourth floors.
