Deputies adopt budget of Bishkek for 2018

The deputies today at a regular session of the City Council adopted the budget of Bishkek for 2018 and the forecast for 2019-2020 without discussion and hearing of information.

Some deputies suggested immediate voting, since the document, they said, had been discussed for a month at the meetings of profile commissions.

The revenues of the budget of the capital are forecasted at 7,934,941 billion soms, which is 732.8 million soms less than in 2017.

Most of the budget is planned to be allocated for two areas: education (44 percent), housing and communal services (27 percent).

Funds are budgeted for salary increments to medical and education workers, young teacher and a pediatrician deposits program, purchase of medical equipment and other items.

296 million soms are allocated for capital investments (construction of social objects and apartment houses, reconstruction of roads).

Mayor of the city, Albek Ibraimov, thanked the deputies for the adopted balanced budget and promised that it would be 100 percent met.
