The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov took part in the opening of a new arrival lounge at Osh international airport. The prime minister got to the southern capital from Jalal-Abad region by helicopter.
According to the press service of the Cabinet, Sapar Isakov noted that the construction of such infrastructure facilities is a clear indicator of the country’s development. Further infrastructure plans for the development of the republic’s airports are under his personal control.
«The new arrival lounge is equipped with modern equipment. Modernization of the airport is carried out within the framework of measures taken by the government of the republic to improve security and provide comfortable conditions for our citizens and foreign guests arriving in the country. This sphere has a great future. In the future, Kyrgyzstan can become a major regional air hub in Central Asia,» Sapar Isakov said.
The Prime Minister tested the installed new hardware and software complex «E-gate.»
The Chairman of the Manas International Airport Emir Chukuev told about plans for the development of airports in Jalal-Abad and Batken.
According to him, the new arrival lounge will allow simultaneously accommodating 2-3 flights. The capacity of the airport complex now, taking into account the expansion, is 550-600 passengers per hour. Works on the extension of the runway by 400 meters with the installation of necessary radio engineering and lighting equipment are at their final stage.
