The first batch of five trolleybuses left the Russian city of Engels for the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The Russian media reported.
As noted, trolley buses have been shipped from Trolza plant as part of a project funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
This is the first stage of the implementation of the contract for the supply to Bishkek of 37 medium-duty trolleybuses «Trolza». It was signed in the fall of 2017.
The total amount of the contract is €4.95 million.
Within the framework of the project, training of the staff of the Bishkek Trolleybus Directorate is planned at the premises of Trolza CJSC.
In recent years, this is the third joint project of the plant and EBRD in Kyrgyzstan. In 2013, at least 44 trolleybuses were delivered to Bishkek, in 2017 — 23 vehicles were delivered to Osh city.
